Washer and Dryer Buying Guide

As daft as it sounds, I was secretly at the prospect of buying a new washer and dryer when we moved into our new house excitedly. I was not excited about the hit on my wallet, mind you. But I was of the view, dried with a brand new washer and dryer that actually my clothes, without her musty enthusiastic.

My excitement quickly turned to fear, but when I realized how many opportunities there are out there for washing machines and dryers. As with any devicethink I'm discovering, buying a washing machine and dryer can be a bit intimidating.

So to help you get the spin cycle on your money, I present a brief guide for washing machine and dryer for sale.

Let's cut to the chase. You're probably wondering what components and features are very important. And, unfortunately, I'm going to throw a very muddy, the answer to your way: it depends. It depends on how much laundry you how to do it, and what are your needs. But to judge and these five questionscan help make things a little less gloomy.

1. Do I want a top or front loader?

Front loaders make loading laundry easier (especially from a sitting position), in general, more energy efficient and can be gentler on clothes, plus many front-loading models look boring in comparison to stellar top-loaders. Front-loading washers in particular can be expensive, but so that you may want to consider what most important to you before you decide. (Plus there areHigh-top-loaders now that to save more water and higher performance than standard top-loaders are much more expensive, of course.) Are not sure what is best for you? Lucky you, there is a plethora of products are guides that explain what help you get with each model.

2. How big is the best?

Discs are available in a variety of capacities and it is important to get one that fits your needs. If you have a large family, a super-power washing machineYou save valuable time because you can handle larger loads at once. But if it (only two people in your household and you do not expect that) change in the foreseeable future, a smaller, stackable washing machine and dryer unit is the trick. One warning: Make sure the capacity of your washing machine corresponds to your dry-a super-sized washing machine will not save much time, if your dryer can handle only half as much!

3. What options does it offer?

For some, a minimal washing machine and dryerdoes the trick. I was not looking for a lot of fancy bells and whistles, if I buy, but I knew that it must have a few options. Looking for a washing machine, you select the water level that best fits the size of the load and adjust the water temperature (allowing even if, like me, wash pretty much anything cold). For my dryer on top of my list was a model that allows me the right temperature for what I choose and drying that had such an automatic sensor on the dryerwould shut off when the clothes were dry.

4. How quiet is it?

If your laundry in the basement, this may be hidden not so much of a concern, but when you do your laundry unit in the vicinity of your room or the main living areas of your home you want to check noise level is. Look for models with additional insulation and reinforced frames.

5. How is energy efficient?

This is a big one, the right decision inthis category, you can save money and reduce the impact of your washing and drying on the environment. For washing machines, look for the Energy Star label, which indicates that a washing machine uses 35 to 50 percent less water and 50 percent less energy than other machines. Energy Star label does not drier, because there is something to think differently in the energy use between models, but if you want to save in this category, out of gas models cost a little more in advance but maymore efficiently and save money in the long term. Or, even better to dry in the air, as many of your clothing as possible to reduce the amount of energy you use drying.
