Not-So-Creative Problem Solving

There are perhaps a hundred good creative problem solving techniques. You can assumptions, brainstorming crazy ideas challenge, using a modification of the word list and much more. In fact, many of these techniques are really powerful, if you want a creative solution, or if you want something that is invented from scratch. But what if you just need a quick solution to a real problem?

It may be time to try out some less creative problem solving techniques. If the speed and efficiency aremore important than the radical creativity, try one of the following.

Less-Creative Problem Solving Techniques

1. Ask yourself what you've done before that worked.

If the problem is not one that you had before, you may have similar problems you have had to examine. For example, a man could be a problem with his refrigerator. Should he try to fix it, or buy a new one? He has not one to him, he is not sure what to do.

The similarProblems he had in the past, does not work more than his clothes dryer. He recalled that he went online and found a clear presentation, which showed him how to replace the belt. This is his solution. He goes online and finds from the symptoms, he may the fridge for half the cost of a new firm to get.

2. Ask yourself how others solved the problem.

Suppose you have a problem with cats coming into your garden and make a big mess. You remember that you mentioned in yourProblem, a neighbor who is obviously not the problem to have. You call the neighbors and ask what it is to keep the cats. She says that she buys cat's urine in a spray bottle and spray the entry points in her garden every few weeks. The cats, that the area is marked by another cat and stay away.

Well, this can be a creative solution, but your part of the solution requires only one question. Always ask others who had similar problems - or who does not, but it should. Whatthey do. This is another online you can do.

3. To sleep on it.

Harry has something new to his craft invent. He wants to do something related to the hand-carved walking sticks that he sells. Perhaps a new kind of walking stick or cane. He has through all the problem-solving and idea-generation techniques, which he knows to run, but not like one of the ideas that he came along. He decided to sleep on it.

When he goes to sleep that, he says someoneabout his new invention. They ask what it is and he replies: "I'll tell you in the morning." These sets will be unconscious in order to work him over night. Sure enough, he wakes in the morning, and realizes that explain in a dream that he was his new invention to someone.

It is a walking stick that has two thin metal rods inserted into them. Pull them out and the case is a tripod with a camera mount at the top. Hikers can use it as a normal walking stick, and if theywant to be in a picture, they need not try to balance the camera on a rock.

See how you solved a problem before. Then watch how the others they have been resolved. Then sleep easy about it and see if a solution comes to you. This may not creative problem solving techniques, but sometimes a simple and easy way is best.
