How to Get Rid of Dye Transfer

Certain substances called stabilizers, also known as "interface" is to absorb dyes and as a "color-magnet" in your wash load. You can find stabilizers, which resemble thin foam (which they do not), saves tissue.

There are two other products that you can add to your wash that dyes that may leach from material by clumping them into particles in the wash water instead of filing on the other tissues are exposed to be mixed with this strain blocked. (Note that, even if there are washing a good idea to invite whites in a separate, which does not solve the problem of mixed colors, dye is in a section of a garment in an adjacent white area of the same article liquor.) One of these products is called Syntrapol. The other is Color Catcher, made by shout.

Do not Let it set!

Said many decades ago, a gentleman named Don Aslett "The Stain-Buster's Bible", a classic how-to book, reprinted and revised many times over the years has been. Among the most importantAdvice from all print and revision was to attack the stain before it sets. In the case of transfer of dyes color white clothes in the washing machine, it means always on the spots, while the clothing is still damp. Whatever you do, do these articles through the dryer or iron and then expect that the color out.

Be warned: Even if you catch a dye stain before it sets, it may still not be easy for you to get out there. Some substancesadopt the color will never know. Using natural fabrics like cotton, you have a real chance to solve the problem, but others, such as nylon, can keep the color for an indefinite period. And the darker the color, the harder it is to lift it.

Removing Dye Transfer Stains

For small areas or small garments:

Mix equal parts water, ammonia and detergent in a spray bottle. Spray it on the stain and clean the area with rapid strokes with a softToothbrush. As long as the dress is white, you can let the solvent soak before scrubbing. If the stain is on a colored dress, the solvent was allowed to sit for too long the color fade along with the stain. But more and stains from colored fabric is a completely different ball of wax. You may have to rinse and repeat several times before you receive it. Wash as usual, if you get all the color, but do not put this product into the dryer until you are sure the stain is gonecomplete.
For stains, mix white vinegar and warm water, half and half in a spray bottle and spray plenty of spots. To treat larger areas to make a bowl with the mixture and pull the garment in the solution for a few minutes. Then wash as usual.
For the whole garment or entire cargo

Try now soaking the stained area in a diluted bleach solution. Start with a weak solution

- One part bleach to eight parts water or more. Rinse and repeat until the stain is gonebefore drying the item. If this solution is insufficient to lift the stain, gradually increase the ratio of chlorine bleach to water until it works. For more firepower, try adding an oxy plus soaker.

Some suggest bringing the water almost to a boil before adding bleach, and soaking the entire garment for a few minutes before washing as usual.
Non-Bleach Methods

* Soak the fabric in hot water infused with green tea. Remove the garment, spread salt on the stain, let stand a while, and then wash normally.

* Rewash the move by about 1 / 4 cup of borax to the wash water.

* Rit (and perhaps other companies) there is a paint remover, you can use to stain white clothes. Follow the instructions on the package. Be sure that you do not use the solution to your washer or dryer, since the solution is strong enough to keep the target in March when it does, you may also want to invest in a sturdy pair of rubber gloves and wear old clothes, whileTreat your clothes.
